Liz Kelly, Director, Eaga Canada Services Inc. Liz moved to British Columbia in 2003 and worked for 2-years with the Provincial Government to implement “Energy Efficient Buildings, A Plan for BC” in collaboration with over 25 partners, including SolarBC. Liz is a member of the 100,000 Solar Roofs task team, and the Working Group for Energy Efficiency in Affordable Housing, the Affordable Energy Task Force and MEMPR’s Buildings Working Group for Energy Conservation and Efficiency. As one of Eaga’s first employees, Liz has worked for Eaga since 1990, and has extensive experience of public policy development and residential energy efficiency program design, and delivery, on behalf of government, utility companies and many others. Liz has directed many new initiatives, often into difficult and unreceptive markets and is passionate about eradicating energy poverty and helping society’s most vulnerable groups access the many benefits of energy efficient and renewable energy technologies. Liz now lives on the Sunshine Coast with husband Andy, and together they are planning to build a sustainable, off-grid home.

Ryan Coleman, Program Manager, Eaga Canada Services Inc. With a career focused on marketing and advertising coupled with a strong background in business development, Ryan has utilized his education and business experience within BC’s energy sector for the past nine years. Ryan is responsible for general program management of low-income programs delivered by Eaga Canada. In terms of education, Ryan has an undergraduate BA (History) from the University of British Columbia (UBC) and Graduate diploma in Sales & Marketing Management from UBC’s Sauder School of Business. Ryan is a member of the Working Group for Energy Efficiency in Affordable Housing and the Affordable Energy Task Force.

Courtenay Barnett, Project Manager, Eaga Canada Services Inc. Courtenay graduated from the University of Florida in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and has experience in working as a Junior Mechanical Engineer, Design Manager and Project Manager at both design-build and pure project management firms. Courtenay has contributed to projects ranging from HVAC design at food processing plants to large-capacity chilled water delivery on the Palm Jumeirah and 5-star hotels in Dubai, UAE. In early 2010, Courtenay joined Eaga Canada in the position of Project Manager. With a keen interest in the sustainable design of buildings and communities, Courtenay has recently become certified in carbon reduction management (CRM), Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED AP) and energy management (CEM). Eaga provides a unique opportunity for Courtenay to utilize these certifications, along with experience, acting as the agent for program delivery of sustainable living projects. Courtenay is a member of the Project Management Institute, AEE and USGBC.

Emily Kendy, Project Coordinator, Renewable Energy Projects Emily Kendy is the Project Coordinator for the residential program at SolarBC. She provides customer service and works closely with the 25 SolarBC Registered Installers to oversee the administration of installations carried out under the program. She also works with the nine SolarBC Communities to provide marketing support for related events and in February of 2009 organized the Vancouver Solar Summit, which brought together government, non-profits and industry stakeholders in a day geared towards expanding solar initiatives throughout BC. With a strong background in journalism and web management, she also manages and writes stories about people who are joining the solar revolution for the SolarBC website.

Zoe Boichuk, Project Coordinator, Affordable Energy Projects Working on the delivery of affordable energy programs for low income households; Zoe brings an extensive background in corporate and non-profit relationship and contract management over a broad cross section of government, industry and community. Spending several years growing up in Ireland has given Zoe an added insight into the effects of fuel poverty and has provided her a powerful connection and commitment to Eaga Canada’s social and environmental mandate. Zoe lives in New Westminster with her husband and young son.

Nirveen Basra, Marketing for Eaga Canada Services Inc. Nirveen Basra is responsible for marketing for Eaga Canada and has a career focus in brand development. She assists with all marketing based activities within the organization including providing support for the developing Eaga Canada website. Nirveen has earned her Bachelors of Commerce from the University of British Columbia’s (UBC’s) Sauder School of Business focused in marketing and finance. She is currently a member of the Vancouver Board of Trade through the Leaders of Tomorrow program and is volunteering with the Vancouver Board of Trade’s Sustainability Committee.

Robert Fairbrother, Project Administrator for Eaga Canada Services Inc. Robert works for Eaga Canada as a project administrator working with SolarBC and the Energy Conservation Assistance Program.  Rob has a background in event planning which was highlighted during the Vancouver 2010 Olympics when he served as an Event Coordinator.  Spending much of his free time at the rink or field, Rob is an avid outdoorsman who has graduated from the Capilano University Outdoor Recreation Management Program.  He hopes to be an advocate of change from current fossil fuel energy consumption to the growth of sustainable and renewable energy use alternatives.
