Eaga Canada collaborates with a wide range of public and private entities that share common goals and business ethics focused on responsible energy use and social inclusion.

Social and environmental responsibility and collaboration are common themes within all our projects. Those who have worked with Eaga Canada value our professionalism, expertise and ability to bring the right team together to provide suitable solutions.

Here are a few of the leading organizations we are working with to deliver projects and solutions that address some of today’s environmental and social challenges:

  • BC Hydro
    BC Hydro BC Hydro is the third largest electric utility firm in Canada. BC Hydro endeavors to provide energy solutions to its customers in an environmentally and socially responsible way by balancing British Columbians’ energy needs with the concerns of the environment. Eaga was selected by BC Hydro to help with deliver their exciting new Energy Conservation Assistance Program, aimed at customers with higher electricity consumption who may not be able to afford to make their homes more energy efficient. www.bchydro.com/powersmart

  • BCNPHAweb

    BC Non Profit Housing Association (BCNPHA) provides leadership and support to members in creating and supporting a high standard of affordable housing throughout BC. The work of the Association is to lead and support its members who are non profit housing providers through services, educational opportunities, and advocacy. Eaga has worked closely with BCNPHA to help their members participate in and benefits from the provincial government’s LiveSmart BC Energy Assistance Program. With strongly aligned values, eaga and BCNPHA have a growing working relationship which will help provide the non-profit housing sector access to the many benefits of energy efficient homes.

  • BC Sustainable Energy Association (BCSEA) BC Sustainable Energy Association (BCSEA) is a non-profit association of citizens, professionals and practitioners, committed to promoting sustainable energy in BC. Their mission is to facilitate the transition to a sustainable energy future in British Columbia through education, advocacy and tangible community projects. Eaga is collaborating with BCSEA on their ground breaking SolarBC program, aimed at transforming the market for solar hot water in British Columbia.

    City Green Solutions is an enterprising non-profit organization providing tools, resources, services and inspiration to improve the energy efficiency of homes and buildings in BC. City Green is the only non-profit provider of the ecoENERGY and LiveSmart BC homeowner grant programs in BC. Our services contribute to the local green economy. Profits generated from our service fees are reinvested back into the community in the form of educational outreach and energy efficiency programs for affordable and low income housing. Eaga works closely in partnership with City Green to deliver programs aimed at improving the energy efficiency of lower income homes. Our different, but complimentary skill sets and our deep knowledge of the sector, creates a unique partnership that provides turn-key solutions for addressing the housing and energy needs of lower income homes.

    Co-operative Housing Federation of BC (CHF BC) is a co-operative association whose members are housing co-ops and related organizations in BC. CHF BC’s works to expand non-profit co-op housing, represent co-op housing to governments and the public, and promote the co-op movement and co-op principles in BC. Eaga has worked closely with CHF BC to help housing co-ops participate in and benefit from the provincial government’s LiveSmart BC Energy Assistance Program. We continue to work with CHF BC to identify opportunities for members to improve the energy efficiency of their homes.

    COHO Repair Services specializes in maintenance for housing co-ops in Greater Vancouver & Vancouver Island. They provide clients with customized maintenance plans, professional maintenance coordination and hands on repair work, as well as unit inspections, capital and long term financial/replacement plans and maintenance related consulting services.

    Fortis BC is committed to providing safe, reliable electrical service at the lowest reasonable cost. FortisBC’s PowerSense program is celebrating its 20th anniversary of providing customers with unbiased information, and energy efficiency programs for all customer sectors. Eaga and BCSEA are collaborating with FortisBC on the SolarBC residential program. Our integrated programs make it easy for FortisBC customers to access all the incentives available to them for solar hot water. FortisBC is also on the oversight committee for SolarBC.

  • Ministry of Energy Mines & Petroleum Resources

    Ministry of Energy Mines & Petroleum Resources (MEMPR) is a department of the BC Provincial Government that acts as a catalyst and facilitator for developing sustainable and competitive energy and mineral resource sectors in British Columbia. Eaga and City Green were selected to manage one of four LiveSmart BC projects aimed at providing energy efficiency retrofits for low income households. The LiveSmart Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) program works with social housing provider to help over 1,800 homes save energy.

  • Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) is a department of the Canadian government that connects individuals with the latest information about smarter energy use, market analysis and energy policy. NRCan’s ecoENERGY for Renewable Heat program’s Residential Pilot Initiative activity was set up to test various mechanisms for the deployment of solar heating systems into the residential sector and to increase the capacity of the solar supply industry. Eaga was selected as one of 14 pilot projects to participate in this initiative. www.ecoaction.gc.ca

  • TERASEN_GAS_2C

    Terasen Gas is one of the largest natural gas utilities in Canada, providing service to 95 per cent of BC’s natural gas customers. Servicing more than 930,000 homes and businesses in 125 BC communities, Terasen is committed to connecting their customers safely, efficiently and reliably to the energy and services they need. Clean and abundant, natural gas is an important part of the energy mix in BC, supplying more than 20 per cent of all energy consumed in the province. With the recent introduction of an Energy Efficiency and Conservation team, Terasen is now initiating several projects serving BC residents who may need assistance in managing their natural gas consumption. This includes collaboration with Eaga on the LiveSmart BC Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) for lower income customers to support energy efficiency upgrades in homes heated with natural gas.
